Carol Fraser Hagen – Fiction & Nonfiction for Children; Materials for Teachers and Parents
Carol Fraser Hagen is a K-12 Reading Specialist, Special Education teacher and a dyslexia therapist. She holds a Master’s degree in Special Reading and Special Education, and an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
Hagen was the recipient of the Shawnee Mission Education Foundation’s Grant for developing “Talking Books”, a finalist in the 2008 Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators “Work in Progress Grant”, for her research work, and she is a published children’s writer.
Hagen’s articles and curricular materials have been published in the Missouri Chapter of the International Reading Association—The Missouri Reader, Kansas City Parent, Apex Learning, and other print and online publications. She writes curriculum, articles on how to teach and learn how to read, and instructional strategies to help parents and teachers of dyslexic children.
Her up coming book, How to Help Children Learn to Read – A Handbook for Parents and Teachers, will be available in both print and on Kindle in February 2012.
