Title: Writing for Magazines
Presented by: Rachelle Nones for Members of the Working Writer’s Club
Date and Time: Monday, December 3, 2012, 7:00 p.m. CDT
Description: Rachelle Nones is the kind of person who doesn’t think that getting accidentally locked in the library over the weekend is a bad thing. Rachelle edited a regional green lifestyle print magazine called Good Karma for two years and has published articles in print magazines such as Cat Fancy, The Case Manager, and Relate and on digital magazines such as Forefront. Rachelle holds a degree in English literature from Marymount College. She will be hosting a recorded “Magazine Writing” conference call/teleclass on December 3rd. During the call, Rachelle will address the challenges of locating paying freelance writing assignments, generating article ideas, avoiding scams, working with editors, getting paid on time, and overcoming the challenge of creating a writing portfolio when one is just starting out. There is no fee for attending this informative teleclass. For those who can’t make it, the recorded call will be available for sale on Rachelle’s website at a later date.
